I never used my name and they call me a PAco? hmm wonder if that is Sir?
Dear Paco, Aiptek hasn't been providing the function for user to update new firmware. The relevant update driver and e-manual, which can be found at AIPTEK website http://www.aiptek.com.tw/english/service/service.htm Best Regards, AIPTEK International Inc. Customer Service Center |

Maybe they think the USA is part of Latin America LOL and assume everyone is called Paco!
I wonder why they don't provide firmware updates as some other companies do? I guess they are too afraid of a support deluge from people who might not be technically able? On the other hand, if there is a serious issue with a device, in my opinion, they are obligated to provide a firmware update to fix it under warranty. The alternative would be for us to return the devices, which is a waste of our time and theirs, not to mention the cost of shipping. |
