Aiptek MPVR+ Webcam Function

Hi I read somewhere that this camera:



Has a webcam function in it. However I haven't been able to find it, nor can I find the driver/firmware that enables the webcam function.

Any type is appreciated

firmware is in Aiptek.comshand not posted online anymore. or deep in the thread.

you plug camcorder in go into settings and USB choose camera/printer/disk. when you choose camera it goes into Webcam. chose disk it goes out.

It is locatedi n the Emanual in aipteks site I do not use this function on my MPVR b/c it shuts down after a minute unknown or do not have ause for it?

When I go into the USB function, I only see two options, Diska and Printer. How come?

I'm pretty sure this particular model did NOT have a web-cam function. Not sure why it was removed, though..

Ooh. Is there anyway to upgrade/downgrade the firmware to a different type to add the webcam feature, or is it just not possible?

let clear up some info first.

1 Is this brand new? meaning Never opened ? if this was a used purchase ( no offense)

2 Contact Aiptek.com/support for firmware you probably have a low end fiirmware if I can guess it is not Fw3501 hw 00

check it by going to playback and hit screen play button and menu

Well I bought this from Target around June-July. It was brand new, and I have used it since then.

When I click mode and get to the screen with the playback, and record, and all of that and I hit the middle button on the LCD and the menu button nothing happens.

1. you recieved a old one and that is realy hard to believe b/c they are discontinued.

what part of DO NOT HIT RECORD if you hit record you flash andyou DID just that:-)

not yelling or upset

hit menu then hit together Mode and lcd center button it will be either easy or hard to do

I just Sd burned my camcorder LMAO all is alright its my broken one

I didn't hit the record button right now. But I've used the record function before.

Ok I hit mode and it takes me to the screen with all the different options like playback etc.

Then I hit the center button and menu at the same time.

I know the firmware number is supposed to pop up, but it doesn't.

Also I don't have the battery. I'm powering via the USB AC adapter thing.

takes a number of tries, it is not hard to do, just timing its alright recordflash was not perm on te Aiptek mpvr LOL

I am guessing your firmware is old bestto call or get in touch with supprt
