I was just wondering if it was okay or not. You can pick them up for under $100 on ebay.

I may be wrong, but this seems equivalent to the latest Digilife hybrids, for far less $$. It may actually be a Digilife clone, but I can't tell. This should be a very good hybrid at any price. Unless it's a junker disguised as the latest models, at this price it's a steal.

The seller on ebay gives you a 7 day return policy so I may get one just for the heck of it and give it a try.

I went with a sanyo xacti c6 instead. I couldn't get past the limitations of the digital zoom.
Picked one up new for $256 |

I bought it for my daughter. I have a S3 and a 10D but I think I may get me one of these too. It would be great for my stickypod for when I drag race/auto-x.
I look forward to playing with the camera when it arrives. ![]() fishycomics wrote: Quote:

I bought the 8600 model before seeing the 8800.
![]() If you can get it for under $100, thats a great price. Recent auctions have it going for $150 + |

Stills are good, in good light. I tried to put a 6MP pic on imageshack, but must have exceeded their size limit as it was stored at 800X600.
Will try to find a host that will take 6MP stills andvideo without re-compression. BTW, auction prices on both the HDDV-8600 and HDDV-8800 are coming down.Maybe reaching saturation with rapid sales of both.:-) |
