But no it is not listed on the Canon site anywhere!
Out of curiosity, where did you purchase your Canon branded Digilife camera?
I got it on ebay

Looks like a fake. Quite common in some areas. They are taking cheap/junk cameras and putting name brand labels on them.
Before accusing me of selling fake merchandise you should call Canon customer service as I have to verify that they did sell this camera under the Canon name.

And while a Digilife is not a Hasselblad it is not cheap junk.

Either way it is labeledI am selling it as what it is, A: Digilife DDV-C330 sold by Canon & labeled by both.

Actually I did contact Canon and this is their response...

Thank you for contacting Canon product support. We value you as a Canon customer and appreciate the opportunity to assist you with information on Canon products.

A C330 camera does not exist with Canon USA. Kodak has a C330 camera.

We hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thank you for choosing Canon.

Sincerely,

Althea

I owe you all a hugeapology:sad:!

Before I purchased it I called Canon support because I could not find it on the website & wanted to check it out & was told it was something Canon branded for lesser markets, ok others have done it & I didn't think about it much because I could see that it was a Digilife if nothing else.

Well after my little outburst, which I again apologize for I dug a little deeper this is what I finally received from Canon after many emails:

Dear James Hartman:

Thank you for your inquiry. We value you as a Canon customer and
appreciate the opportunity to assist you with your Digilife camcorder.

Unfortunately this is not a genuine Canon product. It is designed to
look like a model in the Elura 40-50 lineup- but its a counterfeit. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you but we have no
information available as to who may have originally made this camcorder.

We hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to contact
us again if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thank you for choosing Canon.

Sincerely,

Tim
Technical Support Representative

Special Note: Certain issues are very difficult to resolve via email.

you may call our special toll-free number for email customers with

If you prefer to continue to communicate via email, reply to this
message and we will respond as quickly as possible.

So instead of reselling it as I have too many camcorders now I will keep it to record from tv with & sell the new SVP HDDV-8600B as I am happy with my Sanyo C40 except for the lack of an A/V input.

Again so very sorry!
