Can't Import/Export Video To Computer From Camera

Hey guys I purchased the Speed HD-50Z camera couple years ago and started to recently use it for short films.

When I plug in the camera with a firewire the usb icon pops up:
"Safely Remove Hardware And Eject Media" and both removable storage's show up in my computer Drive F: and Drive G:, the latter being for the SD Card; but there is no prompt screen to import/export video etc.
The camera is not recognized anywhere including in Adobe Premiere saying its offline when I try to capture.

I am sure this happens to an array of cameras as I was checking through then search engine and can't really find a solution.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!
