Hi everybody! Wanna know if there's a way to get firmwares for these cams. Maybe one with new functions. Is it possible to use a ddv-1000 firmware which has night mode on a ddv-m1? Thanks!
Oh and is it possible to increase shutter speed? |

Welcome liquidsky,
So far we haven't heard of people getting firmware updates for the Digilife cameras other than the DDV-660, which used the same firmware as the equivalent DXG model. I wouldn't risk using DDV-1000 firmware in a DDV-M1 unless I also had the original firmware to put back if the conversion didn't work. Seems to me it might be easier to brighten shots using editing sofware, which is basically doing the same thing as night mode. By increasing the shutter speed, do you mean having the shutter open less time? That requires brighter light, or a larger lens, or a better sensor. |

Thanks for the quick response, I thought that would be the answer but kept my fingers crossed anyways. I'm actually really pleased with the camera considering its price but the the only twothings that I really wish could be improved is the low light capability and the slow shutter speed which is kinda slow and causes pictures to blur sometimes. Anyways thanks!
