Hello i own a aiptek A-HD 720P High Definition Camcorder (Blue), i purchased a 4 gb card and now i would like to copy the .MOV files from my camera to my pc then edit them , and then place them back on my camcorder so i can watch the edited files on the camera. the problem is that i have tried to convert the file format back to its original state. but the camcorder refuses to detect it?does the file format use a proprietary type that i cannot edit and copy back the files to the camera to view them on it?also here is ALL the information on the camera's .MOV file format.
Video: 00:00:36.470, 29.970 fps, 1280x720x24, H.264 Audio: 00:00:36.352, 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, MPEG-4 Audio Stream: Audio 1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alpha=none Field order= none (progressive scan) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary Comment: -02-23 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Complete name : C:\Documents and Settings\Digital Demolition\Desktop\FILE0001.MOV Format : MPEG-4 Format profile : QuickTime Codec ID : qt File size : 1.43 MiB Duration : 2s 635ms Overall bit rate : 4 567 Kbps Encoded date : UTC 2009-02-23 12:14:23 Tagged date : UTC 2009-02-23 12:14:23 AMBA : Video Format : AVC Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec Format profile : [email protected] Format settings, CABAC : Yes Format settings, ReFrames : 4 frames Codec ID : avc1 Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video Coding Duration : 2s 635ms Bit rate mode : Variable Width : 1 280 pixels Height : 720 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16/9 Frame rate mode : Constant Frame rate : 29.970 fps Resolution : 24 bits Colorimetry : 4:2:0 Scan type : Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.000 Stream size : 1.42 MiB (99%) Title : Ambarella AVC / Ambarella AVC Encoded date : UTC 2009-02-23 12:14:23 Tagged date : UTC 2009-02-23 12:14:23 Audio Format : AAC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Format version : Version 4 Format profile : LC Format settings, SBR : No Codec ID : 40 Duration : 2s 602ms Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 33.2 Kbps Nominal bit rate : 128 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : L R Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Resolution : 16 bits Stream size : 10.6 KiB (1%) Title : Ambarella AAC / Ambarella AAC Encoded date : UTC 2009-02-23 12:14:23 Tagged date : UTC 2009-02-23 12:14:23 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Video codec: avc1 H.264 Audio codec: mp4a: MPEG-4 AAC LC ----------------------------------------------------------------------- as i said i would like to replicate all this on a edited clip then send it back to my camera so i can preview the file on my camera. if anyone could help me with this and directing me in the right direction as to what software i would use..that would be AWESOME! :? |

thanks! the software on the disc was a h.264 codec? with direct x update and a few pdf's. ...actually to be precise that h.264 thingy was AVIDECODE.EXE. seems to be some sorta .Avi format decoder.and i did install it. and i just noticed that there is some editing software on this disc, after i went and seen one of your other posts. it's called "ArcSoft total media extreme".

There you go.
we ahve thedisk right under our noses, and never use it.:G you should just Dl total media extreme, do all your work in any program you desire, when you are finished and happy, then open total, use the editing, and export video, when it asks you fora file name you must make sure it is named the same name of the way the files come of the aiptek for example FILE0001, does not have to be capped. this will work, with video resolution of the same size with the cam like for like. Enjoy |

hey how do i rip your video from your site?? i looked at the source code through mozilla and cannot find your swf file..maybe im doing something wrong or all the links on that vimeo site are spread apart in sections and chunks. the reason im asking is because my connection goes out alot and id like to view it offline with a swf player.

hey im back again, i have a few new problems, i lost the license key wich was on my software disc sleeve so i cant install this locked total media extreme setup.exe ,also i tested another version from online,i went to the exact same part where you were in your video except i noticed that there was no "Export" option in my version. exactly.....wich version do you use? wwwaaiittttttt im downloading a update.. this just might be what i need! :?ok so now i found out QUICKTIME PRO can do almost the same exact functions as what that arcsoft total media extreme software can do..this is amazing, even if the editing is limited to basic stuff!!!!ARGH i went through so much stuff, only to bring me back to the software i already HAD!!
