In order to identify manufacturer ofthe Hybrid Still/Movie/MP3 Digicam we need USB ID of the device. We canfind iteasily by usingMicrosoft's UVCView program: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/stream/vidcap/UVCview.mspx
Open the programas your digicam is connected to a computer.Choose your devicefrom left side ofthe programwindow, where it is connected on usb port.Look at the right side of the program window, in"===>Device Descriptor<==="part you can see idVendor, idProduct, iManufacturer, and iProduct values whereyou can see the real manufacturer of your Hybrid Still/Movie/MP3 Digicamalso. If your digicam has webcam (pc-cam) feature, switch on it andcheck it by UVCView, too. Please send here what you found. Download page of UVCView: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/stream/vidcap/UVCViewdwn.mspx You can download UVCView directly from: x86 version: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/b/a/eba1050f-a31d-436b-9281-92cdfeae4b45/UVCView.x86.exe IA64 version: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/b/a/eba1050f-a31d-436b-9281-92cdfeae4b45/UVCView.ia64.exe AMD64 version: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/b/a/eba1050f-a31d-436b-9281-92cdfeae4b45/UVCView.x64.exe |

If UVCView doesn't show name of manufacturer, you can try tolook it in:
http://www.linux-usb.org/usb.ids Youshould search idVendor in that page. For exampleOld HACer posted result ofMustek DV 9300, where"idVendor:0x055F". By searchingonly last foursymbols of idVendor (055F) in page given above we find: 055f Mustek Systems, Inc. |
