I had the same exact problem! Solution...the Jazz 178is really easy to take apart.

Problem seems to be that the lens in the housing moved out of it's slot. I realigned it and re-assembled and it works better with better focus. I may have some time to make a tutorial on this but right mow it is unlikely. I say again it is really easey to do and a simple fix. I think this happens because the assembly had the lens loose and not in the right channel slot holder.

Mine works perfectly and shows no signs of ever being opend!
Happy Halloween early, it's already Halloween here. I bought this camera after watching 'the fish's' 8+ minute video. At first it took beautiful vids, but now, I also havefocus or blurring problems. As I look at the lense in the front of the camera, I assume the little green thing is the actual lense. I also would think that it should be dead centre but it is actually shifted to right and up like 1-2 oclock. From this description, can you tell me if that IS the problem.

I'd love to send it back but I'm just too far away.

Hope you can get a repair tutorial up sometime. Thanks

Ace, actually I ran my thumbnail around the lens cover to remove itand was able to pop the lens back into place. It seems to be in focus now. thanks again
