Default Kodak Zi8: Can I make it remember settings?

It's my first post (please don't bust my chops too much). I'm loving the Zi8, awesome quality, etc. I hope someone can lend a hand to this situation: the camera doesn't seem to 'remember' certain settings, such as microphone sensitivity and AIS options after the unit is switched off & on. It remembers your size and fps options, but I have to go in the menu and bump up the mic sensitivity each time I turn on the camera.

Anyone have thoughts/suggestions?

welcome aboard Djcamera
Only chops I bust are on the BBQ

the only setting that is a reset will be the Mic gain. I could not agree more, and emailed [email protected] numorous times about this and you figure the next model called the Playsport have thef ix. Firmware can fix this but they are no longer going to update , it's nearly 6 months no updates.

The EIS Face detect, are manual , once you chosen you must go back to uncheck, even after the cam is on/off.

You figure that the Mic gain be one as well. Others have no complaints, nor do I , but at times I want to grab the distance, or its a lil low.

I rather have it manually then reset . sorry but there is no way we can do this but to remember each turn on/off.
