Default lens search

Steve, I have the Lorex RW2S mobile recorder. The lens on the camera is not removable or adjustable. I bought this for the purpose of video recording the license tag and the action of drivers tossing out cigarette butts from their car.The lens is a 175 degrees and makes recording the images impossible. Is it possible to place a lens in front of the fixed camera lens to make it more tele? If so, what would you recommend?

Any help is appreciated

Hey Jerry:

Welcome to Steve's

That's a neat looking little camera. I haven't see one like that before. I doubt you'll find a good way to get a narrower angle of view, without any optics degrading the image quality more than they help. But, it probably wouldn't hurt to ask about it in our Hybrid Still/Movie/MP3 Digicams Forum, where members are more familiar with that type of camera, as they may have found some stick on Teleconverters that might help.

So, I'll move this thread there for you now.
