I was at best buy and saw generic lens caps with different sizes, is it possible to use these lens caps on the MPVR?
This is an example of what I saw there : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1149206403763 , ![]() ![]() If I can use it, they had caps with different sizes like 28mm, 36mm etc, would the size be the diameter of the outer rim? |

no the size is to big
it may be from 15-20 mm not 25 and above that is what my JVC is and sure enough I got 3 caps none fit you may use abutain cap from a camping supply that either lights or heats those bottles. these caps need an inner thread and the MPVR does not. possable the dxg cap may fit its a different set up the lens cover is the plastic no need to worry bout scratching it |

Thanks! Yeah, I looked at the caps more closely and saw that they hold on from the inside.
The only reason this bothers me at all, is because I play a lot of nintendo DS, and it has trigger buttons on the top, so the first thing I do when I hold the MPVR is place my index finger right where the triggers of the DS are, which happens to be on the lens. ![]() |

get use to it.
you'll get a new hold and takes time I recommendleaving it alone, as other models i have tried a lens cap, and what happ's the modded ones will pull off the lens itself so 1 the MPVr is already protected by its plastic cap, if you look at the post starmad made with the opening of the mpvr you'll see the lens protection. the musteks camera issquare while the mpvr round go figure mustek saved money cutting back on material. |

This is what I did- I took a water bottle cap (16.9 oz) and sanded down the threads on the inside til it fit. then you can spray paint it w/e color you want.
