As promised, I have hosted 4 pics from the digital camcorder for you guys to view. I took all of them in 3M except the lava lamp pic, that was taken in 9M. I downsised all of the pics to 1024*768. I see what you mean about the flash Old Hacer, when the thing actually does flash and you are too close to object it washes it out with bright white light! All these pics were taken from inside the house. Red Maple pic was taken through a dirty window.

Hey, do any of you know of a good free program that will compress ASF files? My camcorder writes ASF files and they are always too big for dialup users to download! I did some testing with my camcorder and found out at its lowest res and quality setting I recorded a 1 minute video and it came out as 4MB.
I would also like to know if you guys know of a free program that will join my ASF files into one. For example, you don't want to record your entire mountain hyke, just parts of it. Well, everytime you start a recording, you make a new ASF video file in the camcorder. I need to join them up as one big one. Can any of you help me? |

For extra information, I want to display my specs...
Intel P4 2GHZ 1GIG RAM 200GIG HD Geforce 5900XT 128MB Operating System: Windows 2000 Pro The software that came with my camcorder was the DV Max Console and Ulead Visual Studio 7. The Ulead program seems to be next to useless! I went to use it to edit some video out and when I saved the trimed video, the sound quality was real crappy! Searching throught the Ulead program I am not able to find a option that compresses the AFS files nor a option to join multiple ASF files. However, I did see a option for splitting video files but I think that option was grayed out not sure. All I know is I don't need to split video... I wish that they supplied a video editor that riveled the quality of Adobe Photoshop. Uleads Video Studio 7 seems to be just icing on the cake, but where it the cake? |

OK here is an update. I searched on the net and found a ASF file converter that will not only convert into a different format but will also compress it in that format. So, in turn, I have found my video converter/compressor
Then I went searching for Advanced X converter and that allows me to join multiple files! So I would have to say I am pretty much set! Thanks for trying to help but in the end the Terminator prevailed... |
