Hi Guys,
I mounted My HD-1080p on the Top Tube of my MTB and did some downhill riding at 7-Springs in PA. I got a good dozen runs in before the tripod mount broke off. I basically clamped a Manfrotto Superclamp to the downtube and used a Manfrotto 482 ball head to get the camera to peer over the handlebars. It worked really well and was solid but I abused the camera to the point where it just broke off. I'm impressed with the durability of it though, it hit the front tire a bunch of times and it still works great, just no tripod mount anymore. Heres a video: http://www.vimeo.com/1598402 Anyway, I'd like to find a bracket for this thing to mount to the manfrotto rig thats durable. Does anyone have any suggestions? Tony |

SWEET!
thanks for that video. the bottom of this cam, like the jazz are simular, the jazz has a screw in the center , and that broke off the tri as well. so I hear ya. 1. something very easy can be made and a simple pic is needed to show so for give my drawing. this is a box place the cam in it is deeply seated and will not pop out extra protection a rubber band on top to keep in if the whole thing comes off the cam is protected. it is an idea ![]() |
