I was just wondering...if the Ispan DDV-920 and the Digilife DDV-1000 are the same, how come the 920 can accept up to 2gb but the 1000 can't.

What these cameras will accept is not as simple as what they can put in one box on the spec sheet. In some cases, they will guarrantee the camera will use all of a 1Gb card properly, and may or may not use all, or some of, a 2Gb card. We've been running into this with many hybrids, for a couple of years. The only way to know for sure is to try a 2Gb card, which I would agree is a dumb way to verify the specs. So the short answer is that it does not prove the cameras are different, only that a different person wrote the specs.
