As I was able to do , watch a few clips ![]() I can say in my words that Sony needs improvement. 1 focus hunt 2 wobble, or jello effect 3 rollingshutter 4 colors I do not own, norcanI comment, but it seems I will keep to the Aiptek Action HdGVS hd1080p version (1440x1080_ and edit with correction for my hi quality, I am always complimented on. $200.00 is awefully a lot of money, $200.00 for those features I wish all best of luck. Less a ext mic less a Stereo mic Less a 3 inch tft scree

Well my guess is that a big chunk of the $200 this camera costs, goes towards the design and brand name.. not the actual functionality or features of it.
watch for the panning, and at the end too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9tn4RjwOwg There's also zoom-in/out noise ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt03J6VtNpI |

I finally goten to see the 1st one the second well hung lol
Iwill say best to compare with other cams especially compare to the Aipte gvs. not b/c i favor , b/c the sony is equilivant, simular to.. I see focus hunt is more I see blurr I see green ispoor I see the background is off I see a number of concerns. the Aiptek as I have and can say is better. by brians voice he is upset, and not happy, and his face exspresions are aswell not happy. maybe he had off day.

Well it's not a terrible camera, but I do agree the colors are a bit odd and yes the lowlight noise is bad. You'd think that should be improving by now. Otherwise the image is nice and smooth. If anything the image seems a bit overexposed. The rolling shutter is par for the course.
It also seems that Sony may finally be admitting defeat with regards to their memory stick since I notice this camcorder also takes SDHC (FINALLY!). Fuji and Olympus have already gone down this road. Now if we can just get cellphones to all use the same usb charger, we'll soon be on the road to Utopia lol Considering this is aimed at bloggers I think 1080p is a bit of an overkill. 720p would be plenty. You could even argue that the 60fps mode is an overkill as well although of course it's always handy when a camera can serve dual purpose. |

Without testing both cameras side by side, I prefer the GVS. Although I think the GVS under saturates the colors at times, I don't like the luminous green of the grass in the Sony. To be fair this is one video sample, so I'd have to do a longer test of the Sony as all these camcorders have their quirks with regards to color, exposure etc under different situations.

the sony reminds me of the jazz's colors.
I ask b/cI wonder if thecam has aAF lock or a manual focus control, if not istick to my guns with the GVS. I know its 1440x1080 4:3, modified to 16:9 it may just be that 920x080 res upconverted LOL
