Odd that it's only 20fps as well. On the Taiwan website, the PocketDV T300 which is a 'better version' of the T100/IS-DV2 has the same resolution as well yet at 30fps. I assume the reason for this resolution is just to make it easier to convert to DVD format so you keep the same aspect ratio. I can't understand why they only have 20fps in this model, if they can do it on the T300. I guess they use a slightly less powerful chip in the zoom dv6 and added this extra mode via firmware for the US market thus explaining why only 20fps and not on the z100 Pro originally.
Since the difference between 640x480 and 72x480 is not that great I wouldn't bother to use the 20fps mode myself, I don't see a lot of point . |

My Walgreens order arrives tomorrow. I'm excited over the little thing. I hope it's pretty good.

Frizzen Here, would you please let me know how you like the new zoom model.
I have the DV 8800 and like it very much. I also have seen the Walgreens ad. I called them , but they could not tell how many they had in stock. I sure hope you get yours. Thanks |

Well I've been playing with it for about an hour and so far it's the trashiest thing I've ever seen. In a room with moderate light it'still almost pitch black. The viewing screen is awful and cheap and even the slowest movement causes blurring. My $100 Small Wonder records about 10X better in lower light than this and I'm not usually remotely fussy.

Well Moorqueen, that's too bad. I hoped you would have liked it. Is this the
first Apitek you have owened? I wonder how it compares to the MPVR, which has had great reviews, and the DV8800 which I have and just love it. Frizzen. |

Yes, this is my first Aiptek. There is so much video noise it's almost unwatchable. I was recording a video in my kitchen with all the lights on, very bright. It was so dim and I could barely make out anything. And the pictures were almost pitch black.
