When you're looking for NP-60 batteries, also look for NP-120's. The NP-120 is a 1600-1800 mAH battery vs. the NP-60 at 1000-1200 mAH. The NP-120 is thicker than the NP-60, but there is room under the 9300's domed battery cover for the NP-120.

Nice pictures and videos!

In search of slightly better videos and stills, I bought a Digilife DDV-1000. So the DV-9300 is in a box on a closet shelf at the moment. Most of my stuff is of co-workers at parties and family at family events.

Despite what I may have said in the past, I've been disappointed at the performance of the cheapo batteries I've bought off eBay. And even the $15 ones. They seem fine at first, but soon hold only a half charge even if freshly charged. Left sit for a few days, they go dead. This can be a problem if you're in a situation where you can't charge batteries but think you have a good stock of charged ones.

I bought a battery from this place, and it seems as good, or almost as good as an oem battery:

Not cheap, but far less than an oem battery. Fast, reliable service also.

holiday times will drop prices at mustekdirect.com

as Sg says

no matterwhat battery it is inarechargable it'll go dry. why. recharging that's why

lithium store bought non-rechargables will last you. so again no matterwhat battery it is it'll need to be on a trickle till used.
