I got this camera from my wife as an xmas gift (i asked for it)

And all i can say is wow, pretty decent for the price... 199.99 you get the camera and a 2 gig card. It's an mpeg camera just for video, but if you want to take pics with it (i opt not to do so) you can. (with a 2 gig card, you can't go wrong)

(aiptek ZOOM DV)

I got this camera just for the mountain, if it breaks while riding, i won;t be as upset if i broke a much more expensive camera. the video quality is great, and it's all easy to use.... just point and press record.

The camera is small, and the video Quality is great!

Looks like a great camcorder so far. Yes, I would love to see a riding video for the ultimate comparison. Then a full review to boot...

Took the camera out for a drive today, and after recording in low light the video quality was "ehhhh", since i was the one drivingh and holding the camera the video came out too blurry and shakey, still waiting for this weekend for a Riding test!

hopefully it's nice and and dry!

3mb sensor has a brighter recording

5mb sensor darker recording

Is-dv darker 3 mb sensor

MPVR brighter 3 mb sensor

PVR darker 5 mb sensor

MPVR+ brighter sensor 5 mb

this is what i have found out on my tests. and if it is a clear day a darker recording, on an over casted day a brighter recording.

Here's another Video Taken today driving around in NYC....

my thoughts....

It;'s a great digital camera for outsite shotting with plenty of light, and some over cast...

When in darker/Shadowy erears, the image comes out too dark.

it's great for mountain biking and daylight outside play... but that's it, this camera sucks indoors, and in dark places... Nuff SAID...

tomorroe taking her to trumbull for some riding, and filming, and some hucking!

Here is a sample of my video with a 3mb sensor my window is down and just filming.

then I am riding with the cam. just about by the steering wheel. the one in the big box thanx dtufinoso much better than a link w/o a pic LOl:|reward to you!

the 5mb sensor seems to strong and cannot control the amount of light, to the hybrid. I find the same holds true for the IS-DV model. I have an excellent video, and in the conditions it will do its job, but never saying it is a professional one that would be the one I posted or one I need to find?

below is a link of low light situations not the one I am after butit will do
