You'll probably get about 15+ minutes or so of 640x480 VGA video with a 128mb card.

I use a PNY 1gb card and I can get over an hour of VGA video. I have only taken quick 2-15 minute videos so I haven't even filled up a 1gb yet as I've been dumping them onto the PC.

If you drop the resolution down to 320x240 QVGA you can get about 40 minutes on a 128mb card and about 350 minutes on a 1gb card. According to Aipteks site.

Also you don't need one of those fast XSpeed cards with these cameras. The plain jane standard SD cards works fine with the IS-DV2.

ScottC again has excellent points.

As I started out when an sd card was 32 mba t over 100 bucks

youll want to get a 1 or 2 gig card

128 keep for mp3 songs

always film at the highest res priceless moments are any film at any rate that can be captured.
