I have some videos I wanted to put on my SD card to watch for leisure on my IS-DV. However, I've found that quite a few formats come up as 'file failed' when I try to view them in playback. What format should I be using? I've tried a couple of mpeg formats and wmv format by converting the file. any thoughts?

you cannot place a video on the Is-dv that simple,

It is a asf format, and Arc media Converter is the program you need

you'll find a how to here in the posts

you'll need to make the file CLIP0001 and asf format

640x480 res at 1.5mb vid bitrate and 125 or 92kb sound

if u got a video skip wmm editing
