Hi, first post here.

A little background to my problem here. My LCD screen keeps on breaking internally to the point where only half the screen is viewable and the rest is white and green. It has done this twice and now I'm on my third MPVR. Is this a common problem or is it just me? It seems to do this randomly and I don't think I'm breaking it but who knows. Anyway Aiptek loves sending me replacement cameras on a camera I won so I'm not complaining.

Also when I do decide to replace this camera (when Aiptek won't send me a replacement camera) what camera should I get? I was thinking along the lines of a Zoom DV but is there a better hybrid out on the market that's less than $200?

Welcome aboard
1. you have a record of your serial Number, and are all three the same returned Model? if so then you know the next step.
never had one problem with my last aiptek or the 1st. my lcd screws losened up. that was all. and fixed myself.

are you applying pressure to the screen?

All three have different serial numbers. The first one had an OK screen that loosened up as well. The second one was tight as ever, even better than the first. The third one was the same as the first.

On my second camera I took a picture of a car, put the camera in my pocket, then said, "oh let me look at the picture" and then found the LCD screen broken. Perhaps when I closed it...

But I love the camera to death so I still use it when it's broken.

Hopefully it won't break again (knock on wood).
