Hi, I'm interested in getting a hybrid cam for shooting quick interviews. Does anyone have any footage of people just having normal conversations outdoors? It seems that every sample I've found is either dubbed over with music, or it features an obscene level of background noise. No, maybe that's because no one is talking and the mic levels go up to compensate, but maybe not. Help?

Schro.........

This is what keeps me coming back for more?

a hybrid, I'll place up a Dl you may want to view about 1 59sec's long that is 19 meg and not like what you hear? but take a look at it anyway ( pop ups will occure ) or just view the links here?

today is a windy day. I say this is my Is-dv and I am talking with the lcd away 2 feet, then turned around?

but here are two video clips one I made a commercial with, and the other or others no editing. I bet most of the video are of mine LOL just kidding.

actual footage of voice and wind, the wind is over coming and yes loud http://www.bestsharing.com/files/sLj...P0014.ASF.html

this brings back memories when I went last year to baltimore,

vid 1 is of fedral hill overlooking the harbour a volley ball tournament is going on or practicing? I am about 400 yards away estimate guess? from the place?

[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/19STpY2oo9o[/flash]

vid 2 is the panning on the boardwalk , peir etc, I was on rollerblades and Igot yelled at, never thought being careful and touring on b lades got me almost a fine LOL.

[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/vEUPPDWhSik[/flash]

vid 3 is a Mustek dv4500 45 secs you'll hear people both sides talking father and son,and two girls should give you a excellent indoor situation

[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/jgNzYrTyYig[/flash]

vid 4 this should be a great example of outdoor sound. i am on a graveled path and it is a summer day i am talking while I did a 50 Mile round trip, the mustek dv4500 is about resting in hand on the handel bar

[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/WpKVgHtsuD8[/flash]

you may notice i showed the IS-DV, and the Mustek dv4500. there are a few aipteik mpvrs in here just look into thesample or other sections

last video aiptek mpvr, you'll hear me say wanna see the fishs? then notice the wind, you'll hear the water ripple.

If these do not grab your attention? then a pro camcorder may be best looked at they have a wind noise reduction, these hybrids do not a cotton swab or mod is needed

Thanks for the help. Note that the first link doesn't work. I'm probably buy an IS-DV2 and try the cotton trick and hope that works. I assume that all these cameras are in same general "class" in terms of sound?

Unfortunately, once you move to more pro cameras, you have to deal with the problem of moving parts on the audio track, which introduces brand new problems entirely. In addition to increased cost, you would also have to deal with unweildy size.

Allow the 1st link to continue to load it is in youtube and may take a few hours there is a direct link which will show you the quality of the IS-DV2

Understand you are looking at the IS-DV2. excellent device , but

how we hate that word but.

1 the screen is 1.5-8 inch not a swival screen , but a 2aa battery system giving you 3 hours of record time

the aud will be the same as the is-dv, that is ready to play in vid 2

I made an eror in the last video and will notcorrect due to reloading all the flashs

it is a camcorder

I check out the IS-DV may run as low as 79.99 andmay no longer be available in a store if lucky

the1st stablization hybrid of aiptek.

they are coming out wit hte Is-DV3 with a swival I dio not know when it will me out but mentioned in a post here

a lot to remember LOL

What about the MPVR? What are the major pros and cons?

I know you've written a review, but most of the comparisons seems to be against the dv, not the dv2.

dv dv2 which hybrid? the aipte 4500 and an update is the aiptek dv3

I do not want to answer if you ment the IS-DV and IS-DV2

mpvr aud/vid synch issue , fixed with firmware 1707

the pro of the hybrid MPVR is slim fits in the pocket, great video. excellent software from company. in a store plays back a movie you can upload with arc big screen super easy to view

con batt life vid /aud issue fixed with firmware and some on pro/con

great price cut when found, expensive if not on sale

if you are now comparing to the IS-DV I go with the IS-DV, but the screen is .4 smaller and I love the video on the is-dv soft start, swival goes around 270 degrees nowlocate the bug sheet around page 4 .etc

con smaller flash manual machro less ofa led record light harder to see. andrecord is in the wrong spot

compared th the is-dv2

ha ha ha screen does not swival to small to view 1.5 is harder or os it 1.8

pro is it has a memory i love , thesmart zoom is clearer and better. the led night video light is a life savor if you're camping .

hope this helps out

in the raw section I am and placed a pvr raw footage up, working on the mpvr i hate to show the same footage of the kid talking LOL.
