I charged one battery by wall outlet yesterday and have charged the other battery by USB today. In both cases, the red light did not go out on the camera (nor did the light turn green indicating battery charged).
Mine does the same thing when the camera is turned off -- the red light always stays on. When the GO-HD is turned on and I charge it, the green light will come on after it's charged.

Did you see on the German Aiptek web site a Z 300 firmware upgrade just published today ?

Here is the link : ( the upgrade file is hidden under the TAB"Telechargement /Download" )

http://www.aiptek.de/index.php?optio...amp;Itemid=226
It's not there anymore. I tried looking on the main international site too but couldn't find anything there either.

See now, that kinda worries me. I updated mine sucessfully, and haven't noticed any problems, but there was no changelog either, so the only thing I can tell is different is the audible confirmation beep when making menu selections is of a higher pitch. I have the file if anyone is interested.

be careful when loading updated firmware, if you do not have the orginal, then you'll not go back to default?

I have asked this question in an ealier post, but it went unanswered as well. Is there a Audio/Video-In option on the camcorder, like they had in the MPVR?

No, there are not any AV inputs, only composite and compenant outputs. It would make a handy hardware H.264 encoder if that were the case, though!

Bummer, it would indeed. Having an external cam hook-up is key, wish it was an option.
