Hi Fishy

No guinea pig required here. I discovered the "Diagnostic Mode" long after the flash unit failed.

I am busy with my supplier and Aiptek USA and Taiwan at the moment and yes, the camcorder WILL be repaired under guarantee.

Does anybody know what resolution Viddler uses? It appears to be higher than 320x240 that Google and Youtube use. However, I can't see anywhere on their website where it actually says what resolution it is. I may try uploading some of my camera reviews that are edited in 720x480 and see how they look on viddler.

Call me a turkey with my head stuck in the sand, but I am not trying anything else at all with the cam, i.e., camera, other formats, etc. All I do is record video with HD and avoid using the zoom when possible, and it is working great. I transferred the video to the PC, (got a Sandisk micromate reader to handle SDHC--very good), edit and then make a movie out of it.

It is only $250 for HD. Laugh at me all you want, but I really don't care to find out what's not working. I maybe fooling myself, but If I get a year out of this thing, I am happy. If longer, then better.

tzm, I know exactly what you mean. I'm loving it, and it does exactly what I need it to do. I avoid using zoom as well. And when I do, I'll zoom first then start recording.
