Hi,

I dropped my GO HD on the floor a few days ago. Nothing broke on the outside but inside somethin is loose and it won't turn on again. Since I want to open it and fix it..

Could anyone tell me how (maybe even upload a few pics) to open it up? Where are the screws, what to ba careful about,..

I am not too dorky so I mainly want to know the basics. I will manage once I know where the screws are and in what order,... to go about them..

looking at my GO-HD

1 Back of go below the record button dead center bottom you'll see a notch that is where you start to peal the back sticker off, exposing a few screws micro scews? Behind the USB door another one?

2. the same goes for the front below about 5 o'cock you'll feel another notch or line . the remoe sensor cover will come out

3. below the chrome lens you'll see a hole that will pop off the lens cap, and expose screws there?

4 top speaker may have a screw there under the cover?

these are the tips on starting to remove the camera hope it is helpful.

Hello here,

I just got a Z300HD (euro version of GO-HD)
I'm a liittle disapointed because of the bad sound quality in recording, there is a lot of background noise even if I don't use the zoom at all.

I did a recording in close to silent situation. Does anyone here can download the movie and say if the sound quality is normal or not please ?

Here is the movie URL : http://jerome.marc.free.fr/TESTZ300.MOV

Aiptek's support said that is whithin specs. I upgraded to firmware 1.5 (Aiptek support sent it to me) and didn't notice any improvement. Just another thing is the firmware upgrade was very fast (did last about 10 seconds) and the update procedure is talking about few minutes long...

I thank you all for the usefull things I read in this forum

Jerome

jerome we all have opinions and one more agrees a aweful sound quality.

1 what I hear, is the Auto focus working, that is normal and white noise or feedback is present.

Use a editing program to clean up the audio.

Aiptek knows of the high sensitivity, and low sensitivity, but cannot fix the hissing at all.

I own the GO andA-Hd and have cleaned up certain videos which stunned Aiptek .

Thanks ! So this is normal Aiptek guy is right.
The white noise is very low and I suppose it's normal too.

I will take a look at programs to cleanup and convert the movie.

the Autofocus is a gear that constantly runs. and that you hear all the time and possably feal as you record it is very loud.
the noise well too sensitive and very poor it wascorrected with the newer version, the A-HD and they went a step further changed the mic , and lowered the sound, thus leaving you with a model for widescreen and narration

so the GO-Hd the same but too sensitive. try some sampling with a ciggerrette filter cut a peice out and tape to the lcd screen

"or cotton possably this wil redirect thesound? but we should not go through this?

"I love the devices but hate to continue having theseissues when a new model is produced to the public

Ok so my HD is working as bad as others so I won't return it to Aiptek.
I set the sound level at maximum, is it fine ?
Which software did you use to convert to WMV and remove noise please ?
