If you want an Aiptek with similar quality video to MPVR for nearly half the price, then this is your camera. Only real con is it doesn't have a swivelling display but for the price it's something I could put up with.

I just got my hands on an IS-DV2 second-hand. I'm going to be making a review of it just like I did with the MPVR+ a few months back (see here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFnjOzyccp4) However, it will be at least a week, maybe more, before it is done. First I need to carry it around and use it for a week, but also I had to order the A/V cable off of ebay so that I could use my video capture card to get good clear shots of the on-screen menus.

I can already tell you that I'm going to have a lot of praise for some of the things this does for the price (assuming $69) but I'm also going to rip Aiptek a new one in a way never done before over some of their marketing lies! 6 MP my ass... I have done some actual testing using scientific methods (which you'll see) that shows the IS-DV2 barely captures over 1 MP despite having settings for 3 and 6 MP. I just do not understand why their marketing dept. insists on perpetuating this lie, especially being that the device is marketed primarily as a video device.

Anyway, look for this upcoming video to be even more informative than the last.

Look forward to your review! I know you'll be brutally honest with it.
