60.00 for double the sd size a rechargable battery , and 720 option . 5 mb sensor I do not own but seems to look good not great, if it is the bottom one a goodchoice if the top one the same can live without the 720 res and still place double the capacity in a hybrid. not 4x the capacity though. again try it , buy it, return it if you hate it.

you may find camcorders today at under 200.00 and just remember if it is tapeless, a drop of the camera, or low battery to off casues a loss file on some.

This is the one I am talking about, I called Aiptek and they said it was the same as the DV5800 and the MPVR+, it's just that wallgreens wants to have their own names for their prodict.

http://www.walgreens.com/store/produ...id=prod3252478

It's the only one available to me before tomorrow... what do you think?

Well, I finally got the Aiptek
Pocket DV5800 w/ Built-in Charger
All charged up and have bene playing with it a little. It already performs 100xbetter then the DXG 521 POS.

I tooka little video (without the use of the bullet cam) on a short car ride and it did a pretty good job. I did the middle size resolution and watched it on the computer.

With the DXG, even a little 50mb sized file took over 3minutes to transfer from to the PC, the Aiptek was much faster.

One thing I couldn;t figure out washow to put movies on the Aiptek cammera. The mP3's ar fine, i put them in the MP3 folder and they show up on the camcorder for playback. but I put the movie in the same file as the one i took with the camera, and it's not available for playback on the camcorder.

I'm trying ot clal Aiptek but tech support is always hard to get through.

the file you are putting always are left out in the posts why nottell su instead of us guessing?

1 dcim folder 100media folder clip0001

when you place the sd card in is that what you see, yes then you just replace back into that folder?

if you are asking how do i place a movie likea retail movieyou're are not going to get that in there unless you have arc converter and knowt he settings. and it is three easy steps

The movie is in .asf format.

I got a hold of Aiptech and he told me the file has to be named in a certain way.

CLIP0001.asf

CLIP0005.asf

If it is named in any other way it won't work eg. Joesmovie.asf

If you need a video demo on this I be very happy to do so, i thought i had one besides this?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-a4oZG_3dA4

the hybrid reads asf format only, and .jpeg and .wav

in order to load other material in you must convert?

you do not wantto convert. nor answered my previous post if you have arc?:?

so

again understand

1 dcim is the main folder

2 medea100 is the subfolde

and in the medea100 you place your aiptek files back in?

the clip must be CLIP0001.asf

If it is joesbike.mov, joesbike.asf, it needs conversion, and then you cannot watch the video, but transfer to another pc only

so I hope that is what you're asking, above is a link if you need to edit a video and add clips that is how you get it done but I do not know you never repliedwith having arc?:G

It is in .asf format right now, but eventually I'l need to figure out how to convert from .avi to .asf

It is in the

"DCM/ Media100 as you say.

"I got it to play but it froze at about 1:30. Maybe the person that converted it screwed up.

"

"the movies I make/ take with the camcorder seem to play all the way through though.

"Thanks for the demo cid, I'll go watch it right now.

"If you don't hear from me it measn I've left for the race, I'll be back Friday.

"Cheers.

It is clearly stated in your post it is a video of not yours ? and avi format "WILL NOT PLAY" if you had taken that time way before to mentin this you would not be stuck in this position:G

so once again for the third time

Do you have Arc with aiptek, that came with the device?

this means you use it and all gets converted and works . sorry bout the lg fonts
