Looks like Digilife is jumping onboard with HD as well. Anybody have any info about this model? The specs looks promising. Wonder what the price will be on this:

I like the 7MP CCD and 3" LCD, but was disappointed no optical zoom.

I think optical zoom in this class range should be manditory.

I don't see anywhere in the specification that is an HD camcorder, it seems to be only an "hd camera"

Like the idea it has ISO and 1600 gets a real night scene sot but if it is all digital after 200 hmmm?

The video 1280x960 is not widescreen 16"9 but 4:3 ratio, nothing there that says 720P? Guessing a bigger screen size is a bigger or higher format? if it is Jpeg wow if it is .mov oh well?

scene settings , can not ask for anything more?

And best yet it comes with an video editing program?

sad to say they are not selling in the USA

Seems like the description doesn't indicate it's a HD camera, but if you go straight to their website's main page, they have this description that seems to indicate it's
HD:

"The Boldest attempt of DigiLife! Superior in features, functions and specification,DDV-7120HD uses a High Definition Video resolution of HD720P (1280x720) at 30FPS...."

http://www.digilifeglobal.com/

I agree, no optical zoom would be very disappointing but it does have a 'TBA"
under the "digitall zoom" spec. Maybe working on optical zoom? Be curious to see if this model might eventually show up on ebay.
