battery life has to do with a number of factors:

one guess I am quite certain about is the screen?

look at the GO notice it is a tft flourecent

look at the A-HD it is a tft film lit screen: I may be able to do a demo on this but not at this time?

The camera will use more power to get the H264 onto the card?

and may get warmer as well?

that is what I am noticing?

Don't forget that CMOS sensors use a lot less power than a CCD.

Here are two videos that demonstrate zooming on the A-HD and the GO-HD.

I tried these two videos.. I actually think the A-HD looks somewhat better. The reason is that the Go-HD seems to have a very poorly working autofocus, making the image blurry.

I swear that the first GO HD I had with the 1.1 firmware had better zoom and did not go out of focus during the zoom. I have a few videos from that camera which were much clearer zoomed in. The replacement has 1.5 firmware and almost looks more like digital zoom at points.

When you zoom with an HD camera unless it is locked down any shaking with be magnified when zoomed. It happened both with my JVC HD1 and Sony HC1.

Af I always turn off with the casio it blurs and can never work correctly? when I use a manual I get a great shot?

I agree the 1st model did a great job, but hey Iam so attempted to re-purchase , just to own it? but I am not till the price falls again? will trade stuff for it LMAO?

Can this cam capture video while pluged in? Or will it only capture when running off battery?
What are the media player functions of this cam, if any?
Cheers.

The A-Hd video will show you the ac running with a red hailo catered to the right side, will turn green to the left side?

The camera will turn on, and the red light will be overpowered by the blue hailo, still red in the faint background?

You "YES" be able to record in video, this giving you that option to adapt, or purchase a car adaptor they now sell online at aiptek?

If you're planning to use it in other ways? This allows you o capture film like a portable VCR but no timer , drats.

The ac adaptor is bigger than the older model so if you're planning to modify be sure you have the right one?

this answers that question

what media player it uses? quicktime for mac, they supply a driver that takes the quicktime windows and converts to a wmp icon a video shows this? it is tossing that disk to the recycle bin for me?
