I'm looking to buy a camcorder, and I have $120 or so to spend.

Sound isn't HUGE with me, video is.

I used a Polaroid camcorder before.. black, flip out lcd screen on the left side, small, went through batteries QUICK, but the video quality in daytime was outstanding for the price I paid at Circuit City.

Well, it got ran over, so it's time to replace it.

I film Jackass type videos for my upcoming website, chipthedickdouglas dot com.

Any suggestions?

I looked online, and can't find it anywhere for sale.

I even tried to use Froogle, and nothing.

So aside from that camera, what would youmsuggest closer to the $120 mark?

I'd suggest that if you need to stay under $120, then ebay is going to be your best bet. Most of these cameras can be bought for half or less on ebay, they don't have good resale value.

I'd go for a Sanyo, to be honest. There are several C40's on ebay and I've seen C1's sell on there for as little as $70. Both take very nice video, indoor and outdoor.

There are some new SVP cameras out which take really good video, unfortunatly, I do not think ALL SVP cameras take good video and I don't know which models do and don't.

Then there are the Aiptek cameras. Most of your standard defintion (640x480) Aiptek cameras can be bought on ebay ranging from $40 to $100 depending on the model. The A-HD, as Fishy mentioned, is a nice camera but it is so new that you'd have to buy it brand-new and there is no way to get it any cheaper than $170 currently. Since that is over your price range, you'd have to wait for them to start showing up on ebay. But as far as standard definition cameras go, if you can find a Sanyo Xacti for a similar price to an Aiptek, go with the Sanyo - they have much better video quality.

I agree, ebay is the best bet! I seen a CG6 with bidding at $90. I'm sure it sold for more but gives you an idea what to expect.

Target also has the Aiptek MPVR+ marked down to $119 now, with decent return policy!

I doubt a CG6 sold for $90 if it was working properly. But I could see a C40 selling that cheap. I have seen CG6's sell for under $200 on ebay, though. I even saw a Sanyo HD1 sell for like $275 and it was in perfect working order.
