Models I know at the time GO-HD films better today in a lower lighting and nighttime, and hte A-HD low light but not night time lighting

depending on what you call dark? the Go will be the better model? 199 at Wallgreens? yes sounds like a sales pitch, it ends within this week?

are there others with a higher ISo setting more catered to a digital camera these two are 720P format with H264 codec?

It's a difficult question and one I'd like answered too as I really would like a non tape based camera that had as good a low light capability as my old JVC S-VHS camera. That was great for filming in the dark or late evening. The problem with todays cameras is they seem to have smaller CCD chips, mostly 1/6". Try to find a camcorder that has a 1/4" CCD though of course that in itself is not always a guarantee of better low light capability. I myself have thought of getting a JVC HDD camcorder, but they always seem to get poor reviews on the video.

I don't know much about the HDD camcorders out there, but in my personal experience, the Sanyo CG6 has very good low-light performance. It is SD-Card based, but it has a very large CCD and does well indoors.
