You can upgrade from Movie Studio to Platinum for $49 on the Sony Website.

Fishycomics, I see you have started using Sony Vegas too! I use the same exact version as you, Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8. I personally love it! It is so easy to use and yet it has all of the pro features that anyone would want out of a video editor. I especially like (correction, LOVE) the compositing that it can do. And the ability to add more tracks to the timeline is simply beautiful. I have needed that for so many projects. Even though the rendering time is nowhere near as fast as Movie Maker, I guess this is to be expected with such a big program as this! This software gets my rating of 10/10!
