Yikes, I wouldn't trust that site, it looks very generic, too new, no info or reseller ratings anywhere, where in the world are they located, what's shipping cost? Could be a fly-by-night scam site, or another in a long line of Broadway Photo/Prestige Camera sister companies.

prestege cameras sounds very fimular to me CAL I think that was the place where I got my casio and yes it was a great deal in my hands no problem. if not I was walking distance to go in there, but not good enough for a hand to handdelievery LMAO

I like the stuff they have to offer and have to be careful YES on the items? to good to be true? but hey sometimes they work out, sometimes they do not

I like Amazon over Ebay but at times Amazon is like a Costco/price club you have to be careful what you're buying. you may see sale and just down the road at the local market it isa lot less. but you get a great cut of meat there. Enjoy......

Hi,

I'm going to buy my first HD hybrid and the Sanyo HD700 looks like a very good buy. I want to capture fireworks in HD during new year's eve so my question is:

How does it perform under these and/or similar circumstances? Video samples?

Honestly the camera is so new, I really haven't yet had any occasion to test under those types of circumstances (fireworks, nightclubs, etc.).

I've shot fireworks with my Xacti C6 and CG65 in the past and they looked great, this is fireworks footage taken with the Xacti CG65: http://mihd.net/rl7kae and the old C6: http://mihd.net/o40kla ...(I had previously uploaded these :-)).

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will order one when I return home after work (I can always return it to the dealer if I don't like the performance).
