I havew been a haopy user of the Nisis DV6 for a year now, but recently I tried to turn it on and found the Rec light illuminates for around three seconds, then turns off. I have repeatedly tried to turn it on, still to no effect.

I have tried to charge it, unsuccessfully, so I have held down the buttons of varying orders, but it is always the same - the red light illuminates for five seconds, then turns off.

Please help!!

welcome

sounds like a dead battery

if the battery s internal you'll need to open up the unit?

if it is an internal charge the same

ifyou can place 3 2aa's and run off tht than it is a battery

hope that helps

The Nisis DV6 is a Digilife DDV-660 or DDV-720. It uses the NP-60 battery. Chances are that the battery is dead. It's a very common cell phone battery ("N" stands for Nokia") so it should be easy to get a replacement. If that doesn't fix it, find Nisis' US website and contact them.
