Every topic is about the new HD hybrids....
and obviously they should be the talk of town
but from what ive seen in video there pretty crappy for sound....
and without good sound!!
*sigh*
just sadness.....
But on a budget....lets say 200$
if you could pick any camera
and im including the RCA small wonder, flip video and the Sony one that are similar to those 2.
but wait....only the sony takes pictures right?.... so the other two are crap....
ANYWAYS if you could pick any camera for christmas for someone, thats small
fits in my pocket
and is amazing with good sound and video.
what would it be?
anythoughts?

Welcome Yule.....

your question is moe to a camera than a hybrid:?

Small wonder or flip is a great beginners model and is worth its weight in gold but not at 530x480 [email protected] 15 -30 fps today. More andmore these hybrids camcorder/cameras hit the market the more we are anctious to se ewhat they offer.

Sony, the yhave been inside these hybridssupplying the ccd/cmos to models and now they are saying hey we better get one out as well

they made a netshare one it is sleek a but 15-1.8 screen is small.

both will take video, both will snap pics andboth should allowvoice memo.

To fit in a pocket The Sanyo Xacti Hd700 hands down. Eligant sleek and stylish oops price is 300 and now 500 plus

Economy I am hooked. are you into camera design or hybrid design?

I am definately into the hybrid design.
I've Been on and off this hybrid board for the last few years
always thinking every model of aiptek or other similar brands
always has something slightly wrong with it
and in a few months a new model
would come out and fix it
but it always seems something is lacking in every model
But i hate normal camera designs,
I need to stand out when i pull out a hybrid out of my pocket
I've only seen one person in my life with one

I agree with you, Yulaw2k2. I was so disappointed when I bought a Digilife DDV-5120A a year ago, and then discovered the microphone is insensitive.

I have been very happy with my Samsung Digimax i6 for almost two years, but it lacks the folding screen of the hybrids, and the video resolution is no longer up to scratch.

The Digilife DDV-7300 looked good, but it seems it has no a/v port or mp3. And they are only just becoming available.

I think that in the next few months, as we check out $200 hybrids with 3x optical zooms, we may well find a camera at that price point that comes close enough to keeping us happy.

Yah i was just looking at the
DDV-7300and it seems really nice and everything
but the no a/v
and i can only find it for 200$ plus like 30$ shipping on ebay...
every camera seems to be lacking just one thing....
maybe we really cant have everything without dishing out 700$

the aiptek older MPVR design is a winner not the A-Hd it is some what growing but lack proper aiming
