I just got an Aiptek MZ-DV for Christmas. So far I like it quite a bit. But...

But the motor makes a lot of noise most of the time. There is a constant "wah-wah-wah" that is louder than the voices recorded. Is this usual with these small cheapie cameras?

Also - I recorded about 5 minutes of video in "night shot" mode as a test. I can not play this video but there is an image on the preview/ thumbnail screen.

Any ideas on this one?

Help appreciated!

Thanks for the reply Fishy (oh hallowed king of hybrid camcorders).

I don't see a firmware update on the aiptek site. I only see a driver download.

Do you know how I can get the firmware update. I did email aiptek. Feel free to tell me to be patient and wait for the aiptek reply! :G
