Would seem to be a new model... right?

Odd, all the sites I can find with a search engine, don't have a picture. This site seems to suggest it's the same as the IS-DV2+
http://www.arsenalpc.com/Details.asp?ItemID=56567

I think I'll wait until there's more substance to the speculation before I add it to the Hybrid List. In any case, it sounds like a rehash rather than an innovative model.

Nothing on Aiptek's website about it.. but that doesn't always mean anything.

[sarcasm]If this was a Digilife camera, even if it was on their website, and well past the "available date", it still wouldn't mean the camera was ever going to be for sale.[/sarcasm]

The name "ISDV3G" seems to suggest Aiptek is targeting 3G cell phone video producers.

Other than audio, I really like my Aiptek ISDV2.4 for certain types of uses.

It's basically a web cam inside of a tiny plastic camcorder shell.

So I use it with a Sony MiniDisc recorder, which records very nice audio.

From Aiptek site:

ISDV2+ Gun Metal - 5 Mega Pixel Camera
Code:R-ISDV3G

The G at the end of the code is the color. There are also Pink, White, and Silver versions. From the specs, features, and price, it appears to be between the ISDV2.4 and ISDV2 models.

The Is-DV2 plus has been around, Aiptek uses three names from the camcorder/camera

a DZO-XXX, the Code name, and a model name.

B & H , at one time will laugh in your face, with these economy brands. I stopped in person , asked if i can see a particular Model that oldHacer had the Pentex Oxio XX

looks like the star trekitem. and I asked if I can take some sample shots, I pulled the Aiptek pocket 5300 out, they guys grabbed it and had a ball with it, and laughed so hard. they never seen anything like these before, and said we'll not sell things like this. sure enough here you go its 2007/2008 times changed.

B& H is a well known New York place they have a basket carrying your new item from the basement throughout the store-to the register a site to see.

So, new or not you'll not see them outside here first, lol Aiptek will place on the site, correct their pages, and then shown at other places, we soon may just see some in the next month(turning blue first)

ISDV2+ Gun Metal - 5 Mega Pixel Camera
Code:R-ISDV3G
Price: $89.99
Quantity in Basket:none
