I was going to buy the Archsoft Editing software for $2.99, but the picture is identical to the CD that came with my A-HD (blue, Circuit City).

I can't find any software on my disk. Am I correct in assuming that even though the disks (and content descriptions) are identical, the $2.99 disk has additional software?

1. did you recieve a key of at least 15 characters long like an example

a piece of sticker 3efw2-drt34-drer-efew yes, no?

2. on the CDR it says a number of programs, total media xtreme, photo impression

emanaul of total media extreme , hd-dv codec, camera manual if the disk only says none ofthese then you have a camera you have the ability to snap a pic, and you go to imageshack.us, photbucket create anaccount andshow us.

a few mo days I'll be with you Mad

Ok, no sticker. Only Option are:

"DV Vs" Driver
"Arcsoft Photo Impression"
"E-Manual"

So it looks like they add the TME to disks purchased through them.

Well, I ordered the disk for $2.99 and $7.19 S&H. LOL

At least it comes with a free Archsoft photo suite disk and camera bag.

I got the new HDDV disk from Aiptek today and want to indeed verify and make perfectly clear that indeed the version of Total Media Extreme will produce an MOV file that will play back on an A-HD or GO HD. I took the WMV of my Christmas video and had it generate an MOV file which played back perfectly on the A-HD. Note that file types seem to be limited AVI, MOV, WMV and MP4 no MPEG-2.

It's basically only worth it if you want to edit your clips or import other clips for playing on your A-HD or GO HD (probably on an HD set using component cables). It's just a scaled down version of the full product. Oddly it allows for making BluRay disks but only if you have a BluRay burner. IOW, there is no option to create a directory with the BluRay files in it and then burning that to a standard DVD blank using the UDF 2.5 setting which is playable as a BluRay disk.

I actaully bought it to edit together my A-HD fotage to play back on DVD.

So it's a pretty useful tool for $3.... and change.
