Unless I'm mistaken, the new 1080p Aiptek is now available through Wal-Mart and the lesser model on Aiptek's site. Check out the link

http://www.aiptek.com/Merchant2/merc...;Store_Code=AS

I just bought one from WalMart.com who says it is in stock.

I'm a little confused here and I hope someone can help me out. Is this the AHD500 that everyones is talking about? This model on Aiptek's site is called Action HD while the none Optical is called Action HD+. They look exactly the same as the ones from CES. I don't know why the lower model has a plus on it though. Another thing I'm really confused about is the price. They're both $199.99. Can anyone Chime in on these questions? Thanks.

Aiptek (Europe)has two Z500-Modells (both with 1080 and 720):

a) Aiptek Z500 with 1080/720, but only 1080/30fps and 720/30fps

b) Aiptek Z500 Plus with 1080/720 - 1080/30fps AND 720/30 fps AND 720/60fps

In Europe you nowonly can get Z500 Plus, no delivery of Z500.

Tho older Modell is Aiptek Z300 with 720/30fps, no 1080.

Walmarts Action-HD seems to be an Aiptek Z500 Plus, a lot cheaper then in Europe $199 ... 229  ---> price

Walmart

1440 x 1080 H.264 Video @30fps

1280 x 720 H.264 Video @60fps ---> "Plus"Modell

that is the newest model, believe it or not.

the Go-HD is Blue 720p no silver at all

1. Aiptek Webhost makes mistakes at first, then they correct after, a known fact.

just look at how they added the info

both model no. the same Ahd21X

one has a remote the other does not, one has charging the other not one a lens cap the other not one 8 gig sd port the other not the list goes on.

Also Apitek will call theirs one thing Wal-mart another

I would buy one but the AF is a killer, Battery Life too low 30 minutes and you have to opt for the extra one double life one

COngrads and good luck.

Hey Fishy. What do you mean "AF" is a killer? What is AF? I'm going on vacation for 3 weeks to Asia so I'll definitely need the a second or probably third battery.

What makes the Auto Focus a killer? No one has it, how do you know its bad?

My main concern is this is basically the upgrade for the GO-HD and I'm wondering if it's going to have the same issues as its little brother? Maybe the non optical model is a better way to go.

Fish, I have 2 weeks to evaluate this camera before I fo on my trip. I think that's plenty of time to see if this will work for me. If it doesn't then I was planning on getting the tried and true A-HD.

Hi guys!

I gotan Aiptek Pocket DV Z500 pluson the way. I'm also wondering how sound quality is compared to other small cams like the Sanyo Xacti HD700. Myfear is, tht it's still bad as the former Z300/GO-HD. The cam looks totally the same as the former but in silver.

Info/tests on this cam later this week.
