Hi Fishy, Everyone,

Well, I sent a letter off to the Aiptek Tech yesterday (it was actually a "re-sent" email) and I got a response! He shared that he is interested in comparing the ver. 2.002 issues with the ver. 1.6 issues to see where the changes might be. He shared that oddly, ver. 1.6 was not made available to him at the time, only version 2.002. His understanding is that there "shouldn't " be any video changes from ver. 1.6 to ver. 2.002.

I would appreciate if those who have access to ver 1.6 could post links here in this thread to the following videos so I can easily download them and pass them along to the Aiptek Tech. guy.

I would like the following please:

VIDEO

1a) Footage from ver. 1.6 firmware showing low-light shots.
1b) Footage from ver. 2.002 firmware showing low-light shots with streak issues.
(Footage of "lens cap black" from both 1.6 and 2.0 firmware would be helpful, also)

2a) Footage showing "smoothly panned" footage at 1280 x 720 HD in ver. 1.6 firmware.
2b) Footage showing "choppy panned" footage at 1280 x 720 HD in ver. 2.0 firmware.

Thanks for the help. :-)

Apon your request, these are videos of April 10th 2008, as requessted. I understand, it is best that you supply your own videos, and work one on one with Aiptek.

It is best that Aiptek has your Hybrid in hand and uodate for you, so that you can have a properworking device. wil take a few weeks at least, at least

A) you get the Issue resolve

B) you'll thank both in the long run. Enjoy. and Please let us know the resolution

Hi Fishy,

Thank you so much for the links. :-) Since I don't have ver. 1.6, these clips/pics will be really helpful in comparing the two versions. And I will be supplying movies and pics from my own camera as well to the technician so he can see what I am seeing.

What I am understanding from the Aiptek tech is that he is interested in investigating issues with the firmware to see if the firmware itself needs to be addressed. I shared with him that other Aiptek users have experienced simialr issues, so any resolution he gets for these issues will hopefully benefit others as well. He hasn't yet requested my particular unit to look at, but I will keep what you said in mind.

Thanks again, Fishy, for all the help!

Of you send it n you'll get a correct unit.

the firmwar that issent by mail if asked me is not the same firmware that they have in the shop.

If you see the issues in mine then, the 2.002 let me know? b/c I believe I am very happy with it, if you like :

to convert back, Aiptek will do that . again it is more of a one on One bases with them, they'll work with you.
