Hi there.... First of all I am a newbie here. Sorry if this has been discussed already. I did look quickly but had to stop.

I am considering the purchase of the Aiptek A-Hd.... however I have just read some different review that say that uploading to a windows based PC is VERY difficult and that editing on a PC is even worse. Is this true.... Is there a solution without a loss of quality?

I have been doing quite a bit of research on this little gem, dont know if I missed this important part or if I may be understanding incorrectly.

PLEASe any help will be GREATly appreaciated!

Thank you!

Welcome carol.

The Aiptek A-Hd and its newest model the A-Hd+ 1080p at Aiptek.com

is very easy to edit with he correct windows Pc programs.

the camera will come today with the Arcsoft total meda extreme that will allow you to edit very basic. and keep the same format HD format or even downgrade to others a few.

You can go out and Purchase or use other programs for a few i have. Sony vegas 8 will downgrade to alesser grade

magex pro editer12 will keep the same grade.

so there is your answer. any questions do not hesitate to stop back

You really need a dual core processor when editing HD format if its h.264/mov, the supplied software with the aiptek will allow for basic editing. Sony viao brand covers a broad range of laptops and pcs, but generally a pc brought in the last 12-18months you should have a dual core processor, but to confirm download something like cpuid to get the info.
You can edit without a dual core processor but it would be slow going.

1. Did you attempt a download ofany file and edit a clip?

2 the specs have the storage size. 4 gig card will get you 3hrs 45 min of D1 standard quality and that is great, your battery will die before you run out of memory.

3. it is a opinion, that is all, the rest is you what to do?

Old pc or not will work my pc isnot a year or two aboutthree or more but yes proccessor should be 2.0 or higher
