Thanks for the review !!!!
What about Macro Mode? Is it really worser than the Action Hd

OT: May I suggest using an other sharing website? Megaupload, as well as rapidshare and so on, are troublesome for people in shared networks....
I usually use diino http://www.diino.com/ : it's free, 2Gb space, no single file size limit, no ads, no time wait, fast uploads/downloads.... and you get a public webspace where u can put the files (eg: username.diinoweb.com/files)

SR71 I shall try, in Megaupload iam already passed 2 gig LMAO. but hey love new stuff.

Hdguy.

Deffently. any suggestion? I may go a open place, indoors be best.

In the top review, I will be editing out the ten videos and correcting, due to camera having an extra two video sizes and two extra Hd one's as well, threw mefor a loop.

As Adric22 adressed his Rolling shutter, I have overlooked, and filmed incorrectly, this leading me to further test out these Challenges.

I also have to work on the Video review. Rather me jump into it like I tried today, I will take a step backwards to go foward. thank you

By all means ask away. This device is promising dispite the issue if it has or not?

I get audio clipping if I am speaking next to the camera. Try that while shooting. I can get clipping even two feet away. You could play some music too and see if it clips. It doesn't need to be anything long.

Macro mode:

I am not a fan of macro mode for the A-HD model, due to reasons.

in your pocket, the macro/infinityswitch will move, causing to be set on to macro, ruining shots if you just shoot.

I have disabled mine, by opening and sliding the cover tab off, you should not try to disasemble from the lens itself , due to a very thin slider.

I wish Aiptek would make the macro a Wideangle, then I bevery happy t ocomment about i in a positive way.

Macro on the A-Hd, A-HD+ can only go as close as 30cm andfar as 50cm (12"-20") while infinity is as closeas 20 " to ~. leaving digital zoome disabled no zooming is allowed in macro.

TheAction is allowed to getas close as 2 inchs and is a Electronc switch, reason why the Action is better in ways, not in others.

if a Pic is needed, itwill only be a picture to me. thank you

About the rolling shutter: if I understood, fishycomics says that there is this problem, while adric22 claims it isn 't visible.
Looking at the PROFESSIONAL review fishy posted on vimeo, I noticed that the crossbar seems a bit distorted while spinning, in every aiptek models and resolutions and fps. Is this the manifestation of the rolling shutter or simply a normal optical illusion?
If u look at the Xatci Hd700, the crossbar seems straight as it should be, even if is "less visible, more trasparent" due to the spinning. So, no rolling shutter thanx to the CCD. Rolling shutter problem affects only CMOS, doesn't it?

Just curious -- is it also now made of metal (kinda like the xacti 700) -- or is it still plastic like the a-hd?

Thanks for the review!

SR71, I was only referring to the video with the cars that was supposed to be in 60 fps, when I said it wasn't visable. Normally, in a 30 fps shot on a CMOS based camera you will see the cars look very slanted if they are moving very fast.

Yes.. the crossbar was very typical of rolling shutter, but that was a 30 fps clip.

See, running a camera at 60 fps should greatly reduce the rolling shutter (but not eliminate it) because the fames are being taken faster therefor objects in the frame won't be able to move as far between frames.
