yes, iffound out. no label or sticker is placed in a way to show you tampered. the cam has a very easy oepning, the part that must be careful with is the ribbon cable.

i suggest, Aiptek.com, support, explain, and will lead to the final result of a bad battery on circuitry. No FW will correct this, once you updatethere is no going back only foward to a no longer made Fw.

Emailed, and never gotten a response back.

Hello

i have a new Aiptek A-HD+ camera that i got a few days ago...

i checked the firmware and it says:

V1.501

Apr 30 2008

i wanted to know if there is a newer firmware for this camera because the light sensitivity is very low and the microphone is also very quiet....

thank you

It's been quite some time. Firmware 2..02 is the latest, since 2008 or 2009, and when you load it up

It will LOWER the Sound . will improve proformance.

Once you load up there is no going back. I am sure I have placed the fw in here or at the beginning. will edit back in. I still have my cam, and running 2.02 happy but wish the sound was louder.

These are excellent Daytime Outdoor cams.

The A-HD 720P is a Brighter, different Cmos sensor.

The A-HD+ 1080P is a darker different Cmos sensor

Both will capture daytime, both at Nightime will be aweful.

SHutter can be optimized by using The EV, and Nightsot mode.

BEfore I update the firmware.
Firmware may have rasied the stills, automatically, rather manually doing it. At least if not acceptable, you can reset, not with Firmware?

By Contacting Aiptek, they may have Newer firmware, but I will not hold my breath.

I rather have louder sound , then lost sound with the newer firmware, moy opinion.

Looked and do not have updated available with me .

ok i contacted aiptek support

and they sent me what they say is the latest firmware for the Aiptek A-HD+ : V.1.900

it improves A LOT the microphone...

but the picture is still dark...

i think that the firmware version 2.xxx is for the a-hd not plus (+)

but i may be wrong...

im still searching for newer firmware, because the guy from aiptek told me that maybe i could find a newer firmware from the manufacturer on taiwan...
