All,

I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with the after-market add-on lenses for the Aiptek cameras, specifically for the GO-HD and Action HD?

Here are some links to some of them for browsing:

http://www.oemreplacementbatteries.c...90452-6200.htm

Sorry for all the links being to 1 vendor. They were the only ones with readily available pictures and descriptions.

Thanks!

Sfritz

29.99 called the Pheonix wide angle lens LARGE

Use a ring with adhesive, and magnetic. will fit the Go-HD go to Amazon.com and type in pheonix wide angle large.

page 30 in the Aiptek A-Hd

As shown in the graphic at left, the large ring has an outer dimension of 27mm or 1 1/16 inch. The inner dimension is 22mm or roughly 7/8 inch.

I did something similar with my DV5800 and a Sunpak 37mm wide angle 0.5x.

I glued one of the ring adapters to the out ring of the cam with silicone.

The biggest drawback was that it obstructed the flash...

I got the GSV recently and use the following, purchased from Directron, though I don't think they have it listed any more:

Tricod MGW045L Focus AC-DCMGW045L 1 21.99
Optic 0.45X ML Wide-Angle

I ended up mounting it with a piece of mountain bike inner tube and a hose clamp... pretty ghetto, but super solid - enough for some ski and mountain bike helmet cam footage, though I'm looking for a 0.38x or lower now... the 0.45x isn't quite wide enough.
