First Impressions:
I just briefly tried out the DXG 569 at my local Radio Shack. The video it recorded to my 8GB SDHC card is 1280x720 H264 video at about 4100 to 4600 kbps, 48000 64kbps AAC audio. Interesting that the single microphone, which sounded not too bad, appeared in both channels of the stereo AAC audio track.

Width of view through fixed lens is about the same as my HD1000, maybe 10% less, but the clarity is pretty poor. Digital zoom is useless (chunky and blocky). Interesting that the 569 was functioning very well indoors, without noise. It does have a 1/2.5 inch CMOS, apparently. Clarity is about the same as my HD700 in EIS mode, less than HD700 without EIS engaged. And nowhere near the HD1000

Oh - I am pretty sure the DXG had EIS. The image was nice and steady.

Now I want to see the DXG 567V in action. I am interested in carrying that one for when I need "stealth mode" video. It looks like an innocuous Ipod...
