Here is that cinema rig on a Spyder brace:

Requires a bit more steady holding. Check out the other rigs, and the smooth image they get from the 35mm lens adaptor.

Hi Ace, your E-mail is flagged private, but I PMed you for the steadicam construction instructions. Thanks so much! I was actually considering the Merlin and even went back to the camera store to try it out several times, but I just couldn't justify the $800 cost. Maybe if they added a gyroscope, or they bundled it with a 10 speed

Again, I appreciate your efforts to put this together.

Yeah, a bit upmarket, but I thought it was pretty impressive, and you wont get those cool pro gadgets on small stabilisers easily.

The first one with the Spyder brace, has a Canon hv10 pocket camera on it, but not so small, at least twice the size of most hybrids.

Of course, when I get my Red Scarlet, I aim to try to put it onto a shoulder rig, maybe even that one. Stabilisation doesn't phases me so much, I have a steady step. I'd probably still try to get the most compact stabiliser around for none work situations, so keep making yours smaller .

I created a list of DIY steadicams/stabilizers a little while ago:

Thinking of picking up a Wii Wheel and see if it'll work as a Fig Rig for hybrids.
