Wow, had no idea it worked this well at night. Great clips, thanks. Should have made
some night clips while I was vacation now that I know it works out well.

Yes I am quite impressed with it's low ability. Like I say, this is turning into a gem of a little camera.

Fishycomics, all paid up on our fishing licenses :-)

Was our 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday so I took Monday off as vacation because my wife said it would be nice to go do some night fishing. Who was I to disagree? We don't go fishing anywhere near as much as we should do considering how much these licenses cost these days!

Anyway, here in Texas, they FINALLY changed the method the stupid way they would issue them.

They used to issue them August to August. Now if say you missed out and wanted to buy one anywhere inbetween then tough you still had to pay full cost regardless of whether twelve months or 1 month left. Insane. I always said that the way they had it, encouraged people to have no license, since if they were not regular fishers, no one in their right mind is going to pay the full year for a couple of months if they decided on the spur of the moment to get one!

I use Corel Video Studio 11 Plus. Since it won`t edit native H264 AVI I convert
them all to 720P WMV and edit from there. I don`t worry about hard drive space
with 4-250GB HD plus 2 300GB portable HD.

Beautiful work! Beautiful sky. Keep it coming.
What do you use for the h264 AVI to WMV conversion? I've tried the ArcSoft converter that comes with the 178 but it seems to be lossy.

Ok question.. so many threads here about these cheap HD cameras...

I was looking at the 178 over the Aiptek because the mic is said to be better then it.. However can you use a 16GB SDHC with the camera? I know the battery wont last but I tend to keep a battery spare with me.
