Sorry about not replying sooner. Had an accident at work and am one armed
right now. Dislocated right elbow has left me with huge prolems being right
handed. Typing with with my left hand is tough.

Have not had the chance to even test out the Jazz yet as the accident happened
right after getting it charged up. Should a couple weeks before I am able to start
using my right hand again and able to use my TX to fly.

reading Geeks.com review, and not seeing it there but a vupoint I follow that site.

cannot realy see anything on their one, two, three pan video too fast a shot for 5 secs LOL.

The review is great do not get me wrong, but as Ilearn more and more. the 178 I was going to and will still go ahead and try to do some trip vids saying

going to try t omake it memorable will do a lil talking here I am at...............

I think the jazz cannot pick up distand narrated sounds. the plane was over powered where i was at and will have to see again.

the door is yes very thin on the 188 but thicker on the 178. the lcd is prefrence if it was the swival never mentions lcd light b/c never had issues only outside it becomes hard t osee and NO LCD CONTROL to brighten

so all in all the Jazz is the lower end, while AIptek may still be its higher end economy model

kodak well I think once you step out of the hybrid and compare to a camera of couse kodak canon etc will be best.

the could have said Mustek dxk etc

just got a 178 from a local walmart a few days ago and i do like it so far and the 1280x720 quality is good but a slight bit low at times but still makes a damn nice camera for just 100$

have not had alot of time to test it out if differnt situations yet to really judge it fully but it seems quite nice so far, but at times though it is hard to tell 720x480 mode(D1) may capture with less noise/pixelation then 1280x720(HD) mode.

im not great at testing these kinds of things so i dont know exactly if its correct.

i wish the Toggle button to change Quality modes could be changed it would be nice to have it toggle from D1<->HD then just HD<->VGA

also the jazz does not seem to record to totally correct AVI format as most players on my pc(WMP,VLC,MPC) will not play it correctly (audio will start to play or will not play until after the video is stopped) i have found thatresaving itthrough Virtualdubmod (using direct stream copy) will correct it then it will play perfectly in any player.

To bad when you were in MSP you could could have come down to New Ulm
and visited. Would have probably prevented my accident. Sucks living at work
some days. Was working under a sink replacing a shutoff valve that froze and
went to wrench it loose and my elbow popped out, talk about pain unlike any
thing I have ever had before. Was able to grab the Cabinet and pull just right
and it slipped back in. Went to the doctors who said I should have surgury to
repair the damage. I refused since my insurance will hardly pay for anything.

Won`t be long. I use the net to learn how to get arm back in shape, so far I have
been able get fingers to work like before but must be careful not to let it slip out
again. Then I will need to have it fixed.

Oh well, won`t be long and you will see what its like for AP videos compared to
to Aiptek A-HD. Thanks to Fishycomics for turning me onto the A-HD. To bad it
bit the dust. My son still plays with whats left.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Oh man misssed the funny Bone and right to the tendant Oh man if you hit that funny bone yes I know tht pain never ending stars around the head...............

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I am still in the the lovely state, how long unsure. about an hours drive away I believe lol. you seen the vid and I have filmed some other stuff, and found some great blading spots the grand Rounds from lake nokimis-to-lake of the islands, I think I read it right and measured 20 plus miles round trip LOL.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"The Jazz if you're installing , are you going to take apart its container or are you going to build some extrap protection. if stryofoam can be placed around its body like a tv pc expensive set, that will help it weights about an ounce or so even if you have to tape/glue.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"yep we'll see some stuff

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"when this weather warms up and stays warm you'll be all better.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"and if it was an on the Job, and company, I understand, would pay but that's not the case.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"get well again:|

First chance to really test out the Jazz HDV-178. Was looking around on Virtual Earth
with the birds Eye viewer and found that had aerial imagery of southwestern Brown
county and Cottonwood county about 40 miles of here. Found this little gem of a
neglected park called Redrock Dells and falls. Hard to believe a paved parking lot out
on dirt road. And then all you see is a picnic shelter. Climb over the hill and WOW
what s surprise.
