First post,

I recently picked up one of the Aiptek HD+ 1080P cameras cheap ($50.00)and have been reading the posts and watching the videos on improving the audio. Lots of good info on this site.

I've measured the DC voltage applied to the mic @ 2.55 volts and the impedance @ 1.92k ohms. My firmware in the camera is 1.900 I believe.

The internal mic could better but it's not bad for close up. I did remove the rubber sleeve on the micand it seemed to help.I am going to mount a 3.5MM jack inside the camera. There appears to be enough room inside the camera above the swivelhinge to mount a jack.

http://www.allelectronics.com has quite a selection of jacks and mic elements and this:

Anyway, I post some pics when I get the parts in. Thanks for the tips and reviews
